Shipping - UK

UK orders are posted via Royal Mail 1st class delivery. You should receive your order within 1-3 business days of shipping confirmation.

  

Shipping - Overseas

We ship our products all over the world!

International orders are dispatched via Royal Mail International Standard delivery. You should receive your order within 7 days of shipping confirmation, however this can take up to 30 days in some cases when there are pressures on postal services.

  

Customers from the EU

From July 2021, VAT will be charged on imports to the EU regardless of value. This means the exemption for goods valued up to €22 no longer applies. VAT will apply at the rate of the buyer’s country of residence. Please not that these fees are not the same for every country. The chart below shows the VAT charges per country.

When shopping on the website, these VAT charges are collected from the receiver (the customer) and not at checkout. This means this charge is added when your order reaches your own country, and is also subject to a handling fee, which is not controlled by Sunshine Lane. The customer is responsible for paying these charges before receiving their goods, and this is not collected at checkout. This means that extra charges will apply to your order which you will need to pay to the handling company. 

To avoid extra charges on your order on delivery, you can shop via our Etsy shop.

When shopping on our Etsy shop, all VAT is collected at the checkout, which means this is handled before your order reaches your country. Please note that even on Etsy, some fees may need to still be paid when your items get to your country. We cannot control this, and it is your responsibility to pay these. We cannot refund any charges. 

 

Is this shop authorised to ship to Germany?

Unfortunately, Sunshine Lane no longer ships to Germany.

In 2019 Germany’s Packaging Act VerpackG came into effect, imposing requirements on online retailers selling to buyers in Germany. It requires sellers to pay licensing fees to cover the recycling of packaging materials sent to Germany. In 2022 I trialled registering with the Packing Register and paying the required fees to enable me to continue to ship to customers in Germany. However, because I receive very few orders from Germany, this resulted in a loss on these orders after taking into account the registration fees. The Act makes it difficult for small businesses to continue to ship to Germany and still remain profitable and, as such, I am regrettably not able to continue offering shipping to Germany.
