Doing things differently in 2026: Why I’m trading resolutions for a steady plan
Share
I’ve always been someone who loves the idea of a fresh start. In the past, I was the queen of setting big, shiny goals on 1st January, only to find that by mid-February, I was right back in survival mode, feeling like I’d failed before I’d even really begun.
After my years as a Social Worker and navigating my way through burnout, I realised that the problem wasn't a lack of effort - it was that I was trying to build a new life without a clear way to actually move forward. I was tired of reacting to life and wanted to start intentionally designing what comes next.
This year, I’m doing things differently. I’m moving away from the pressure of "new year, new me" and focusing on Success in Progress. I want to build a life that actually fits, piece by piece, and I’ve created a collection of tools to help us find that sustainable balance.
The "Success in Progress" Collection
I’ve spent the last few months pouring my heart and my professional background into three tools designed to help you clear the fog and move forward with intention. You can use these on their own, but they are designed to work together as a complete system for your next chapter.
The Life Design Guide
This is where we start. It’s a quiet, grounded space to find your steady ground. Instead of scary resolutions, we audit your life pillars and define how you actually want your life to feel. It’s a gentle framework to help you stop reacting to the "static" and start designing with purpose.
The 90-Day Roadmap
Once you have your vision, you need a way to walk the path. This is a practical bridge between where you are and where you want to be. It’s a strategic companion that helps you break down big dreams into manageable projects and simple daily habits. It’s built for real life - the kind that gets messy and complicated sometimes.
The ‘Next Chapter’ Journaling Kit
This is the tactile part of the process - a kit for intentional forward action. It includes patterned papers and vellum for layering, writable building block stickers to mark your milestones, and even a tiny ruler charm as a visual reminder of your commitment to your plan.
Let’s build together
I don’t want you to feel like you’re doing this alone. If you pick up the physical Journaling Kit, it comes with an invite to join me for a Live Journaling Workshop on Sunday 11th January, at 12 pm. Follow along as I journal live - we can use our kits, chat all things 'reboot' and map out spreads to help us get started.
You may also want to join my 'Sunshine and Self-Care' Broadcast Channel on Instagram. Think of it like a little group chat where I can share inspiration and support along the journey.
The "Success in Progress" Bundle:
If you’re ready for a full reboot, you can get the entire system - the Guide, the Roadmap, and the Kit - and an automatic 15% discount will be applied at checkout.
Here’s to a 2026 that feels a bit more intentional, a bit more balanced, and a lot more like us.
Emma xx
